Sometimes it can be difficult to find hairstyles that go well with your hair length. Especially with short hair, there are so many styles that can’t be done. Even a basic ponytail can be a challenge for us short-haired girls.
To make your life a little easier, I have compiled a list of boho hairstyles that are sure to give you a great hairstyle.

1. pulled back dutch braid
This is as easy as it sounds! if you are in a hurry, but need your hair to look cute, this is perfect. you can do this with straight, curly, or wavy hair.
simply dutch braid a front section of hair on each side of your head. a dutch braid is when you loop the strands under each other, instead of over them. this leaves the braid with a 3d effect, rather than lying flat against your hair.
braid the section until you’ve reached the back of the head. you can gently part the braid to give it a thicker, messy look. secure it with bobby pins.
2. cheeky half wrapped
Here’s another quick and adorable look you can do if you’re late for a night out!
Section the top section of hair starting at the temples. brush hair in a half up/half down style to ensure there are no awkward bumps or hairs out of place. secure with a hair elastic.
Take a small section of hair from under the middle you just secured. wrap this section around the elastic and pin down. This way, not only is the hair bow hidden, but it shows that your style has put a lot of work and effort, when in fact you didn’t!
3. three-section kickback
This is one of the easiest boho hairstyles to find! You can do this look if you don’t have a mirror nearby and just want your hair to stop hanging in your face, especially with the summer heat closing in.
pull 3 sections of hair, one from both sides of the face and one from the center of the back. start braiding these pieces together at the back of your head. once you’ve braided as much as you can, secure it with a hair tie.
If you want a more messy look, you can pull out a few pieces in the front to frame your face or separate the braid in the back.
4. French twist half up/half down
This look takes a bit longer than the other boho hairstyles mentioned, but it looks beautiful when it’s finally complete.
Take a small section of hair from the part that frames your face. separate the section into 2 pieces. wrap the sections around each other twice. once you’ve completed that, take another section of hair and incorporate it into the bottom section of the twist you just created.
If that’s hard to understand, imagine adding strands of hair to a French braid. that’s what you’re doing, just with the bottom of the twist!
continue twisting and adding more sections until you have reached the top of the ear. then you can rotate normally, without adding new sections.
You can choose to stop it with a twist and secure it with bobby pins. however, if you choose to do another twist on the other side, make sure the twists meet at the back of your head. secure with a hair elastic.
5. headband scarf
If you don’t have time for the braids or twists of the boho hairstyles mentioned above, have no fear. hair accessories come to your rescue.
You can buy hair scarves at places like forever21, etsy, or even amazon. They are a super cute trend, and cheap. These scarves come in many different patterns and colors, so you’re sure to find one you love.
To create this effortless look, you can go straight or slightly curly. simply wrap the scarf around your head and tie a knot at the top. pull some strands from the front to create a more messy/sexy look.
and just like that, your hair transforms from drab to fabulous.
