Instant Pot Honey Garlic Chicken Thighs – Sweet, salty, tender and juicy chicken thighs prepared with the most amazing garlic and honey sauce and cooked in an instant pot. Dinner, from start to finish, will be ready in 30 minutes!
My #1 recipe for Honey Garlic Chicken revised AND updated with a new twist because, an Instant Pot is all the rage these days.
I know, it’s very difficult to choose; Crock Pot Honey Garlic Chicken or Instant Pot Honey Garlic Chicken. I mean, one takes hours of cooking, and the other does it all in minutes. But the instant pot is arguably my new favorite way to cook. I really love my clay pot, but this thingamajig pressure cooker/instant cooker is a game changer.
INSTANT POT HONEY GARLIC CHICKEN
This easy recipe for Instant Pot Honey Garlic Chicken is full of a lot of flavor and requires very little effort. With only a handful of ingredients, this dish is still one of my favorites because it’s low maintenance and amazing.
Clearly, I’m not talking about any old chicken here. I’m talking about the kind of garlic chicken that reaches that perfect place between sweet and salty, tender and juicy. In addition, it can be done in about 20 minutes and that makes my heart sing with joy. What’s more is that I always do extra to have at least some leftovers for tomorrow’s lunch.
god… There’s not a single thing I don’t like about this type of food.

Once you’ve prepared the sauce, you can move on to browning your chicken thighs right inside your instant pot. One pot = one meal and fewer dishes to wash.
I chose to use bone-in chicken thighs, so I could only fit 4 at a time inside my instant pot, but if you go with boneless thighs, you can definitely get 6-8 thighs there at a time. And once the thighs have finished browning, an introduction to your cooking liquid will follow:

If chicken breasts are all you have, don’t worry! Just use the same method, but cook in the poultry setting for 10 minutes.
Whether you want to do this in the clay pot, as we’ve done so far, or in the instant pot, trust me when I say that no matter which route you take, you’ll be super glad you made it in the end
.
I also have a choice of seafood with the same wonderful flavors: garlic sauce and honey salmon.
The flavors in this dish are so simple, but when combined, they are SO GOOD and fantastic out of this world. It’s one of those recipes that you do once, and then you do twice, and suddenly you can’t wait to make it again.
