instant onion burgers” />How to make instant burgers
This instant onion burger recipe will work on any brand of electric pressure cooker, including the Instant Pot, Ninja Foodi or Power Pressure Cooker XL.
The meat for these pressure cooker burgers is seasoned with a simple yet powerful mixture of:
Smoked paprika
Sweet onion diced
Garlic
Together, these flavors infuse the burgers with a delicious flavor as the meat is cooked in the instant pot
.
The first step in this recipe is to seal your burgers in the Instant Pot. Not only does this brown them nicely on the outside, but it helps retain moisture and gives burgers their signature caramelized crust and flavor.
Then, simply pressure cook the burgers on a rack to finish cooking. They only need 6 minutes at high pressure.
Because your instant pot needs some grease to prevent foam from forming during pressure cooking, the best meat is 80/20.
If you use leaner meat, be sure to keep an eye out for foam (and it can be quite dirty, so I don’t recommend it).
Other burger flavoring ideas
If you want to try other seasonings for your Instant Pot burgers, try adding:
Cushed jalapenos
Crumbled blue cheese or other grated cheese
Cooked diced mushrooms
Fresh or dried herbs
Advance
brew burgers You can store your onion burgers in an airtight container for up to three days. If you’re entertained, your burgers will be fully cooked and you can quickly seal them on the grill to get some charcoal marks and reheat them.
Then, simply add your favorite ingredients (buns, tomato, lettuce, and more onion because you can never have too much). You can serve juicy burgers without having to stand on the grill throughout the party.
