A buttery lemon and garlic sauce is prepared in just 10 minutes, then the prawns and parsley are added to make this seafood dish. This recipe is incredibly easy and versatile, serve it as is or over pasta or rice for a more filling meal. You can find all my shrimp recipes here.

garlic butter sauce
For this recipe, we are making a quick garlic butter sauce. Don’t just add garlic to melted butter, which is perfectly fine, but not exactly a sauce.
First, we will make a roux by combining melted butter with a little flour. Then fresh lemon juice and some broth are added to make our garlic and lemon butter sauce.
Fear not, this silky garlic butter sauce is super simple and only takes a few minutes to join. The prawns are already cooked, so all you have to do is add them to the sauce to warm them up and you’re done! This recipe is quick, easy and incredibly delicious.

To serve them for dinner, I put them in mini tapas pans. If I wasn’t keeping an eye on my carb intake, I would serve these buttery garlic prawns with a piece of crusty bread to dip into the sauce.
We love prawns, so when I see them at Costco or Trader Joes, I grab them. Luckily, we are both seafood lovers in this house. Because they’re sold frozen, it’s easy to grab a couple of pounds and store them in the freezer until you’re ready to use them.
