The ingredients
Here’s what you’ll need to make Crock Pot Cube Steak with Gravy (exact measurements and full recipe instructions are below on the easy-to-print recipe card):
Meat sauce mix: A mixture of au jus meat sauce will also work. Chicken soup cream: Use a can of undiluted soup. French onion soup: The 10.5-ounce can is perfect for this recipe. Do not dilute with additional water. Water: Enough water will be used to dilute the sauce a little before everything cooks. Cube fillet: You will need about 2 pounds, which should be 4-cube fillets. Cornstarch: Cornstarch will help thicken the sauce, but you can also choose to skip this ingredient if you prefer.

In a medium bowl, combine the mix package of sauce, chicken soup cream, French onion soup and water, then pour into the bottom of a 6-quart slow cooker.

with the sauce mixture.

Cover the slow cooker and simmer the diced fillets for 6-8 hours until fully cooked and tender. Turn the diced fillets into the sauce about half the cooking time. In a small bowl, beat the cornstarch and cold water. Remove the cubed fillets from the slow cooker and set aside, then stir the cornstarch mixture in the sauce in the slow cooker. Return the steaks to the slow cooker. Set the heat setting to high and cook for 30 minutes, until the sauce thickens.

serve with cube steak and sauce Mashed potatoes
– probably the most perfect side with cube steak, because the sauce is amazing about potatoes. Other sides of potatoes that are good are scalloped potatoes or baked potatoes.
Steamed or roasted vegetables: We love green beans or peas, but broccoli, carrots, corn, or any other vegetable you love will be perfect.
Bread: Slices of soft bread with butter are wonderful with the steak rises.
